You can connect your wallet on cryptocanvas.place by clicking Connect Wallet in the top navigation bar. It is optional that you have installed the browser extension MetaMask beforehand, otherwise the website will fall back to Wallet Connect. A helpful link to MetaMask for downloading will appear if you do not have this extension installed.
Cryptocanvas.place runs on a smart contract (See the White Paper page for further details). This allows a user to mint, buy, sell, bid on, alter, and combine any block (token) available. Buttons to interact with the smart contract will appear if you have connected your wallet to this website. Click here to add our Block token to your wallet.
Placing pixels is easy. Pan over to the area you want to place the pixel, zoom in, select your colour by clicking on it in the palette, and click where you want to place it.
Note: The block you are placing into must have be minted, either by you or someone else (Grey blocks are unminted)
Mint a Block
Click on the area of the canvas you would like to mint. A white box will appear around the Block and a panel will display. If the Block is available for miniting, a green clickable 'Mint' button will appear.
To mint more than one Block at a time, use the Block Tool located in the colour pallete at the bottom of the screen. Once Block Tool is selected click the mintable Blocks on the canvas you would like to mint. A 'Mint Batch' button on the right side of the screen can then be clicked to generate a transaction.
Note: Mint Batch will only work if the selected Blocks are arranged in a square or rectangle with no missing spaces.
